Beyond bias: Promoting inclusion and creativity for a more equitable and diverse future

In 2023, Teoresi embarked on a Diversity & Inclusion journey aimed at fostering lateral thinking and cross-fertilization—key pillars of the company’s culture. We have shown how inclusion can drive innovation and social progress through a series of creative and innovative initiatives. This approach led us to achieve second place in October 2024 at the prestigious Aretè Award in the “Internal Communication” category.

• “Beyond bias in AI” series:
  A series of events held at the Group’s main Italian offices engaged over 80 managers and key company figures, encouraging them to reflect on biases emerging from the use of artificial intelligence. Using generative AI tools, participants identified and recreated more inclusive visual representations, fostering dialogue on ethical responsibility in technology.

• “Teoresi Dream Workplace” contest:
  This internal initiative invited colleagues to envision their ideal inclusive and sustainable workplace using generative AI text-to-image tools. The six winning creations, selected by a mixed jury, showcased diverse perspectives on workplace diversity and well-being. Winners participated in a creative workshop focused on generative AI techniques. Additionally, one of the six winning artworks was chosen to decorate a lumiwall in one of Teoresi’s new offices.

These initiatives have deepened awareness of inclusion and bias, drawing attention to potential distortions that can arise in the application of the technologies we develop.

By leveraging creativity as a problem-solving tool, we enriched our engineering approach with new perspectives, strengthening Teoresi’s position as an innovative and inclusive company. This has a positive impact on internal culture and enhances our appeal to motivated and talented individuals.
