Teoresi continues its conquest of space with EN9100 certification: assurance of quality, reliability, and safety
CorporateTeoresi has achieved a significant milestone in the Aerospace & Defence sector with the EN 9100 certification: a European standard based on ISO 9001 that integrates quality management requirements with insights into safety and reliability to meet the specific needs of the aerospace industry.
We asked Flavio Musso, Quality Manager at Teoresi, for further insight:
“What does this certification mean for the company?”
This certification attests to Teoresi’s process compliance with the high standards required by the Aerospace & Defence industry, guaranteeing an operational approach based on risk management and an effective system for planning, execution, control, and verification.
Furthermore, obtaining EN 9100 certification allows Teoresi to be listed in the global supplier database Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (IAQG OASIS), positioning us among the select group of Italian companies compliant with the rigorous standards of the aerospace industry for providing complex engineering system design and development services.
In addition to this recognition, all colleagues working on projects for our aerospace clients have also received specific training. Moreover, tailored processes have been developed and implemented to manage activities, making the system even more robust, flexible, and adaptable to the needs and specificities of other sectors.
We have also gathered insights from those working in the field, including Umberto Loreto, Industry Manager for the Aerospace & Defence sector at Teoresi:
“What are Teoresi’s activities in this field, and what does the certification represent for the company’s business?”
Teoresi has been working in the aerospace context for over ten years. The projects we carry on for various clients involve the development of onboard and on-ground systems, safety-critical solutions, flight control, and simulators for pilot training. We have expertise in drone and satellite development, as well as radio wave amplification systems. Within these areas of expertise, we operate at various levels, ranging from system engineering and verification/validation to big data analysis and quality control and assurance.
The certification represents a strategic asset that makes us appealing to a demanding market in terms of safety, quality, and reliability standards. We expect to hire 40 new resources to be involved in aerospace & defence projects by 2023.
