Formula SAE Italy is back on track! We are thrilled to renew our commitment to fostering research and innovation by supporting the creativity, curiosity, and passion of young engineering students from all over the world. That’s why Teoresi is once again the official sponsor of Formula SAE Italy.
In the 2021 edition, our special award goes to the FSAE team that is able to demonstrate knowledge in the electronics development process, in particular innovative controls, methods, and architectures.
Formula SAE was born in 1981 by the initiative of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and arrived in Italy in 2005. It is a student design challenge, which involves the departments of engineering of the Universities worldwide. Students measure themselves in the design and production of single-seater prototype racing, combustion, or electric cars, including driverless ones, as if they were commissioned by a company in the automotive sector.
The goal is to focus on the students’ skills, making them live an educational experience where they learn teamwork, with specific rules and deadlines to be respected, and challenge themselves on the building and designing of a car, with all the difficulties that this implies.
The competition consists of two phases. From September 27 to October 1, on a digital platform, the teams will take part in static events, such as design, business presentation, and cost events; while from October 11-13, they will test their vehicles on the “R. Paletti” Racing Track of Varano de’ Melegari (Parma).
To follow, our contributions to the event.
This year Teoresi’s special award is addressed to the FSAE teams that will be able to demonstrate knowledge in the electronics development process, in particular innovative controls, methods, and architectures. Those that will design the most innovative electronic system not only will win a trophy, also will get access to the Intrepid Control Systems innovative tools. Massimo Milizia, Technology Leader and automotive expert of Teoresi, will evaluate the electronics development.
On September 29, at 12.00 PM CEST, and on September 30, at 4.30 PM CEST, during the first phase of the event, Teoresi organizes two webinars named Engineering for sustainable mobility, in which our colleagues will speak to students about Teoresi innovative projects, the use of Intrepid tools for engineers in the automotive field, and career opportunities within our organization.
Follow our social media for further updates and Formula SAE and insights on the teams’ work. We wish them good luck!
